Diversity and Inclusion Messaging

Founder Aimee Borders advises and assists in internal and external diversity and inclusion communications, aligning D&I messaging with a company’s values and, most importantly, their actions. 

Highlights

  • Supported executive-level D&I Champion with D&I Yammer Launch strategy, including promotional communications, channel content, management, moderation and response. Channel has grown to become one of company’s most active and engaged.

  • Supported D&I priority with ghost-written blog content, slipping into the voice of senior leadership 

  • Advised brands navigating highly emotional and rapidly evolving social conversation, helping comms teams respond in a manner that is true to their culture, resonant with their stakeholders and based in purposeful action

  • Identified corporate employee networks as a partner, cultivating relationships with network leadership and earning trust. Brought their stories to corporate social platforms to reinforce messages of diversity and inclusion and expand network visibility, including work with the Asian American Network, the Black Employee Network, the Hispanic Employee Network, the Patriot Employee Network, the Pride Network and the Women’s Network. 

Education and Awards

  • Completed dismantling Racism; Led by Dr. Catherine Meeks, Executive Director of the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing

  • Completed Sacred Ground, a seven-week series on race and faith

  • Awarded the ALLY by Pink Petro GRIT Award for brings humanity and authenticity to social media communications and creating safe spaces to further diversity and inclusion conversations.
